Hi guys,i installed revit architecture 2010 but I had some problems with library files. I can't install the 'Help file'.When i try to download ITAHelp.cab from autodesk web site, revit give me ever an error.Same thing when i try to insert ITAHelp.cab in the folder c:usersaccountAppDataLocalTemp.My revit version is for student and then I've downloaded the file Help.cab from the Autodesk web site. Every time I open Revit I get the error screen that is missing the file help.cab.Where i can insert the files whitout install them?In which folder?the files as you know are: HelpArchitecture.chm - racnfw.chm - TutorialsArchitectureMet.chmthank you.

Your right about the degridation. I have tried many ways to import my inventor assemblies and it just kills my proformance to the point where it's really not feasable.I hope AutoDesk can address this issue with Inventor's BIM Export option.KCThe issue isnt Inventor, its Revit. It doesnt do well with any non-native-revit geometry. Best bet would be to try to recreate the inventor geometry natively in revit, or try to assemble an API app that will do just that. Its not the complexity of the model, its just that its NOT rvt/rfa stuff. Dont know why revit is so particular, but it is.

Not sure about large inventor files.I have been told (not verified personally) that you can export inventor files to.rfa if you have used the correct tools in inventor. I am also led to believe that you can retain parametric control of the geometry.Can anyone corroborate this?Been a couple years since I've had the inventor to Revit struggle but I'm sure there was a way to keep the parameters working which pretty much involved remapping them all, it may have even been 3rd party software but I'm not sure (and I've had a glass of wine). I do remember though it always ended up being much quicker and cleaner to just 'trace' an imported/ linked file within a Revit family/project.
